In this role, you will:
- Report to the Sr. SEO Manager and work closely with the entire SEO team
- Review and audit existing SEO content to find new and missed opportunities
- Optimize SEO content with recommendations and briefs where required
- Support the blog and produce top-ranking SEO-focused blogs
- Optimize existing blogs and web pages through internal linking and improved meta titles/descriptions
- Track, analyze and report using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO industry tools
- Do extensive keyword research to align with our SEO strategy, as well as keyword and competitor tracking
- Keep up to date with Google algorithm updates
Requirements
- 2+ years of SEO experience
- Must be fluent both verbally and written in Japanese and English
- Must reside in Japan with the ability to commute to our Tokyo office on a daily basis
- Knowledge of contemporary SEO principles and methodology
- Excellent written skills; ability to write a minimum of 3 blogs per week and optimize existing web pages
- Able to organize and present information on screen and verbally with a team
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to SEO
- Deep knowledge of on-page and off-page ranking factors
- Strong familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/crawling tools
- Working experience with WordPress or similar CMS
- Creative problem solver with a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Preferred Requirements:
- Cybersecurity industry knowledge
- Understanding of Technical SEO such as: website architecture, 301 redirects and proper canonicalization
