- Responsible for overseeing the entire publishing process of our mobile app, ensuring its timely and successful release across various platforms.
- Working with the stake holders directly as a producer.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese app store regulations and guidelines, including those set forth by Apple and Google, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of any changes or updates.
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure that the app meets all local data privacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with localization teams to ensure that the app is translated and culturally adapted for the Japanese market, including reviewing and approving translations, and ensuring that the app's design and user experience is appropriate for Japanese audiences.
- Work closely with marketing teams to ensure that the app's marketing and promotional materials are appropriate for the Japanese market, including localizing social media campaigns, working with local influencers, and ensuring that all marketing materials are culturally appropriate.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the app's success in the Japanese market, including download and retention rates, user feedback, and app store rankings, and use this data to make informed decisions about future updates and improvements to the app.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as developers, designers, QA, and marketing to ensure timely and successful delivery of the app to the app stores.
- Manage the submission process for the app to the various app stores (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play Store, etc.) and ensure compliance with their guidelines and policies.
- Communicate and manage timelines and milestones, ensuring that everyone involved is aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Continuously monitor and report on app performance metrics and suggest improvements to enhance user experience and drive engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in project management and/or app publishing with a successful track record of managing the release of mobile apps across various platforms.
- Strong understanding of the mobile app publishing process and experience with the various app stores' guidelines and policies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in data analysis and familiarity with app analytics tools such as App Annie, Sensor Tower, or similar.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or Trello is a plus.
