Job Responsibilities:

• Create Datasets: Develop datasets crucial for parsing languages effectively.
• Algorithm Enhancement: Improve algorithms that interact with datasets, ensuring optimal parsing results.
• Quality Enhancement: Elevate the quality of dictionaries, frequency lists, and vocabulary lists for supported languages.
• Language Expansion: Add parsing support for new languages, contributing to the diversity of our linguistic offerings.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Proficiency in web scraping techniques.
• 4+ years of programming experience, either professionally or through demonstrable open-source contributions.
• Proficient in at least one foreign language other than your native language and English
• Fluent in English with strong professional and technical communication abilities.
• Multilingual Background: Familiarity with multiple languages, with a strong understanding of the grammar of at least one.
• A general understanding of the grammar of languages such that you are able to, when working with a native speaker of that language as needed, decipher and understand its grammatical structure even if you are unable to understand or speak the language itself
• Openness to learning new writing systems (e.g., , ) as per project requirements.
• Willingness to learn or experience working with Kotlin (Note that large parts of the work for the position, such as web scraping, dataset creation, etc can be done in whatever language you have a strong proficiency in)
• Ready to engage in meetings with team members across different time zones.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality work and project success.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous work with Natural Language Processing libraries or language parsing libraries.
• Involvement in other language-learning related projects.
• Experience learning multiple languages to at least an intermediate level.
