ABOUT VENTURE CAFE FUKUOKAVenture Café Fukuoka will launch in Q4 2024 alongside strategic partner CIC. Venture Café Fukuoka partners with companies and organizations that are evolving business, education, technology, social justice, science and the arts within Fukuoka and beyond. Our flagship Thursday Gathering convenes hundreds of creative, resourceful people who are just as invested in improving life on this planet as you are.
Venture Café Fukuoka follows in the footsteps of Venture Café Tokyo, which launched in Toranomon Hills in 2018, and has since convened 80,000 innovators. In May, the signature Rocket Pitch program drew 1,019 attendees, all made possible by a pool of 300 dedicated Venture Café Ambassadors. Their programs support a thriving Deeptech, Life Sciences amp; Fintech ecosystem.
Venture Café Tokyo has since expanded its reach and impact across Japan to Tsukuba, Nagoya, Gifu and Osaka, building a regional community of communities that Fukuoka will now join.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORKYou are a natural leader who can position Venture Cafe Fukuoka as a valuable but neutral player in the local ecosystem, working to amplify existing efforts, break down silos, and foster collaboration.
Reporting to the CIC Fukuoka General Manager, the role will build and manage the Venture Café Fukuoka team, launch and direct programming for Venture Café’s Thursday Gathering plus other ecosystem building activities in Fukuoka. Venture Café programming connects local innovators to a national and international entrepreneurship community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Collaborate closely with VCGI and CIC to develop the launch strategy for Venture Café Fukuoka and lead the execution of the launch plan.- As CIC Fukuoka prepares to launch, you’ll work closely with the CIC Fukuoka General Manager to ensure its success and align initiatives where appropriate.- Scope and develop a yearly programming strategy to inspire and connect the local innovation community.- Scope and secure foundational financial partners for Venture Café Fukuoka. Build a pipeline for funding opportunities.- As an advocate and spokesperson, identify and partner with local ecosystem leaders to build diverse and inclusive programs.- Develop innovative program formats for delivering content and creating connection opportunities to maximize engagement.- Lead and oversee strategic
