We are currently expanding our footprint in Japan and will be managing a new 3631 square meter center in Fukuoka which is expected to open in Q2 2025. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORKAs the leader of the Japanese Finance team for CIC in Japan, you will take charge of the organization's financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring alignment with both local and international financial strategies. Your role encompasses managing tax filings, strategizing tax approaches with external providers, and providing pivotal financial insights and analysis to support management's decision-making process. Reporting directly to the International Finance Director, you will guide the Japanese Finance team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and spearheading financial planning and analysis to support CIC's strategic goals.Potential responsibilities will include:• Leading financial reporting, budget analysis, and offering strategic financial advice.• Managing tax strategy implementation and compliance, including oversight of various tax filings.• Providing meaningful financial analysis for strategic decision-making.• Collaborating with global teams to support organizational goals and ensure financial and legal compliance.• Developing and maintaining comprehensive financial systems, including annual budgets, forecasts, and cash management strategies.• Ensuring compliance with Japanese accounting and tax regulations.• Overseeing financial statement preparation and submission to relevant authorities.• Coordinating US GAAP and other audits, and driving business process improvements for enhanced efficiency and risk reduction.• Advising on the Japanese Companies Act and collaborating with HR on compensation, contracts, and other employee-related matters.• Supporting ad hoc analysis and projects as required, demonstrating leadership and fostering the development of the finance team.
