Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a proficient Power BI Engineer with fluency in both English and Japanese to join our team in Tokyo. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing impactful Power BI reports and dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, and translating business needs into actionable technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Power BI and other BI tools like Cognos and Tableau, coupled with expertise in ETL and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain compelling Power BI reports and dashboards to address business needs effectively.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Engage with the client IT director for Analytics projects and our Client Engagement Partner to ensure project success.
• Keep abreast of the latest Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities continually.
• Assist in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse management as required.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards is mandatory.
• Ability to gather Power BI report requirements through effective communication with business stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
• Preferred certification in Power BI.
• Proficiency in other BI tools such as Cognos and Tableau is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of ETL processes and data management principles.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese (N1 level) is essential.
• Willingness to work onsite at the client's office near Shinjuku, Tokyo, for 3-4 days per week.
• Candidates must be currently based in Tokyo or willing to relocate from Vietnam within 3-4 weeks, with eligibility for a work permit.
• Availability to work 4-5 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for one day if needed.
