Mission
SmartNews is a leading mobile app of news aggregation services. It analyzes millions of articles to deliver the most engaging information with high quality in near-real time fashion to millions of users around the world. The QA team assures the highest level of quality for the SmartNews app while maintaining development efficiency. Together with your team, you will foster a culture of quality in the Mobile App group. Your team will also be responsible for building and operating a robust release management process to deliver value to all stakeholders continuously.
Requirements
- Manage and execute mobile app quality assurance (QA) processes
- Improve QA processes and formulate roadmaps
- Manage and supervise companies to which test execution is outsourced
- Select testing frameworks and services
- Promote awareness of and educate on software testing
- Build an in-house QA team and manage them
- Improve efficiency and costs through automation
Minimum Requirements ()
- Language skills
- English and Japanese at business professional level.
- Experience managing mobile app QA work, including in at least two countries/languages
- High level of proficiency in at least one programming language
- Knowledge of software testing methods
- Experience with vendor control in the outsourcing of development overall or the outsourcing of testing processes
- Experience in web service QA work
- Management experience, including of non-engineers

- Experience in development for iOS or Android
- Experience in improving development processes through automation
- Experience in project management
- Experience in engineer recruitment or team building
- Knowledge of information security (authentication, authorization)
- Knowledge of web development and server-side development
- Experience living overseas
- Experience working in a team together with members from multiple countries
