Job Description
The Bitcoin.com Wallet application is an industry leader in the mobile cryptocurrency wallet space. We offer the easiest, fastest way for you to buy, sell, spend, trade and invest in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and other cryptocurrencies. Our apps are bringing sound money to the entire world. We are currently seeking a Mobile Security Engineer to help build the future of money, reporting to our Wallet Technical Lead, and working alongside our Product Managers and Engineers in Tokyo, Japan.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the security requirements of the Bitcoin.com Wallet Application
- Provide security guidance on products and features
- Take a leadership role in helping drive internal security and privacy initiatives
- Conduct regular security assessments and code reviews across multiple projects
- Analyze, assess, and partner with Security, Engineering, and Product Managers to respond to various issues and potential security threats
- Collaborate with engineering and conduct regular security assessments
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of mobile security engineering experience with exposure to application security testing (source code review and application penetration testing).
- Technical experience across a range of security disciplines - web application, mobile, infrastructure, cryptography, etc
- Experience performing security reviews of mobile application designs, source code and deployments.
- Participated in infrastructure and application project teams providing consultation on information security designs with a focus on mobile devices and applications.
- Define, review and enforce information security policy, standards and guidelines for mobile operations and tech implementations.
- Experience in communicating security risks and plans to address them to stakeholders via recurring reports
- Extensive knowledge of internet security issues and/or mobile security issues
- Experience in implementation and operation of security in IaaS cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Experience with project management to work with multiple stakeholders and to ensure that schedule, quality, and cost are well managed
- Experience with security software development lifecycle in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Experience in blockchain/cryptocurrency field
- Experience in payments, banking, fintech, etc
- Penetration testing
- PCI DSS compliance, and handling of KYC documents is a plus.
