Senior Data Operations Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a strong team player to join our growing team in our Tokyo office. You must be dedicated and willing to to design, create, and maintain our data pipelines across our products, services, and partners.
As part of the engineering team, you are going to work closely with Senior Engineers and DevOps across a variety of products and services, along with Product Marketing Managers and Product Managers to enhance the data architecture company wide. You'll also be responsible for evaluating and implementing data pipelines solutions to support the business needs. We see this position being filled by a strong self-starter with experience across DevOps, Engineering, Security, and industry standard best practices for GDPR, compliance, and data governance.
Remote available but must reside within APAC or be willing to work on JST timezone.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create and maintain optimal data pipelines which adhere to the company goals
- Drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality
- Review and approve solution design for data pipelines
- Ensure that proposed solutions are aligned and conformed to the data architecture
- guidelines and company roadmap
- Evaluate and renew implemented data pipelines solutions to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in supporting business needs and growth.
- Working between product, engineering, marketing, and compliance to secure and manage user and analytical data for the improvements to our services
- Understand various data security standards and use data security tools to apply correct access control
- Support and contribute to development guidelines and standards for data ingestion
- Work with devops and engineering team to assist in data ingestion and data related technical issues
Requirements
- Experience managing data operations for multiple products
- Experience with using Amplitude or other data analysis tools
- Ability to manage, maintain, and support data governance across multiple teams, including profiling, de-duplication, classification
- Experience with DevOps tools and data environment
- Strong background in analytics and reporting
- Experience managing GDPR requests
- Working with compliance, security, engineering, and stakeholders
- Ability to explain technical information in business terms
- Experience with multiple database technologies
- Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Security experience
- 3+ years experience Java or other object oriented languages
- Good experience managing partners and vendors
Nice to have
- Minimum BA/BS degree in Computer Science , advanced degree in analytical field, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
