Bitcoin.com Financial Services allow users to easily buy, sell, spend, trade, and invest in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. We have built a strong reputation for scalable, design driven blockchain applications that make cryptocurrency easier for everyone.
APAC is OK, but we prefer Tokyo, Japan.
Qualifications
You will be responsible for leading the QA process alongside the engineers building and maintaining the Bitcoin.com Wallet (iOS and Android) and Bitcoin Cash Register (iOS and Android) which are used by millions of people around the globe. Our team’s goal is to build the best Bitcoin wallet on the market, providing ease of use for anyone interested in using cryptocurrency, no matter their technical ability. We focus on a lot of energy and resources into Growth, Stability, and Revenue, and as QA we see this position contributing to all three.
You will be working with an outstanding team of engineers, designers and product managers to bring this product to a next level. We are looking for a good team player, seasoned QA engineer to join our small team in the Tokyo office, who’s able to enhance our QA process, and help us reach our goals.
Job description
- Develop and execute test plans for features and regression scenarios.
- Spearhead quality assurance process to ensure the quality of each release
- Collaborate closely with product owner, designer and developers to clearly define expectations for product and feature behaviour.
- Manage defect repository to ensure all defects are triaged, and properly captured.
- Develop automation tests and pipelines to facilitate continuous delivery
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in developing automation tests in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go
- Knowledgeable in best practices in testing, version control and defect management
- Self-starter and ability to think outside the box, learn new tools and adapt to rapid changing environment
- Nice to have: Mobile/Web testing experience.
- Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong understanding of Bitcoin, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency is helpful, but not a must.
- You think carefully about our users and their problems, plan how to solve them and then make it happen
- Good communication skills with engineers, designers, and managers, both in person and across productivity tools such as Slack, Github Issues, etc.
