Software Engineer - Robotics

We are developing the world’s first enterprise-level Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for robots, creating a rare opportunity for an experienced, product-focused engineering professional. Our PaaS aims to offer innovative features to handle every part of the product life cycle required to aid and deliver robust, scalable, and state-of-the-art robotics solutions to the end user. You will own key components in communication, sensor fusion, control, safety, monitoring, etc.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Collaborate in a team to design, develop, integrate and test a robust team of autonomous mobile robots in semi-structured and dynamic indoor environments
• Maintain high-level of communication with cross-functional teams and partners
• Contribute to software design reviews, architecture reviews, and best practices

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience with an outstanding track record
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and test scalable and highly available software systems in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency in C++, with a fair knowledge of the language specification and at least 3 years of hands-on experience
• Good OOP and multithreading knowledge
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Doctoral or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study
• At least 3 years of experience in professional software development
• Participant in robotic competitions, e.g. RoboCup, DARPA Grand Challenge, and/or contributions to open source project
• ROS experience
• Startup experience
