Software Engineer - Robotics Perception

Rapyuta Robotics is a robotics startup with a vision to be the leader in making robots more accessible. Our Tokyo Engineering team supports this vision by building and help others build state-of-the-art multi-robot solutions. As an expert in Robotics Perception, you will help us answer the essential question of ‘what is around our robots’, which is crucial for efficient and safe operation in real-world, dynamic environments. Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work closely with the rest of the team to analyze dependencies and interactions in a complex robotics system and take a holistic approach to design
• Build and deploy robust and reliable perception modules to cutting edge robotics challenges
• Build efficient tools and evaluation pipelines for perception modules
• Collaborate with perception and related technology partners around the world and scale the development process

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience with an outstanding track record
• Strong C++ programming skills and proficiency with Python
• Strong understanding of Computer Vision
• Experience in image-based 3D reconstruction and/or in handling point clouds
• Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment
