Atonarp is currently seeking a Director of Optical Systems - Dialysis for our Research amp; Development team in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. The work will include leading the overall product development process for a Laser Spectroscopy System for use in Dialysis online monitoring.
Duties amp; Responsibilities
- Working with technical marketing and customers, develop the product requirements document (PRD), including hardware and UI/UX requirements.
- Lead system architecture and design for overall optical system
- Complete regular reviews of development process with engineering team
- Work with product engineering to develop test automation capability
- Work with contract manufacturing to ensure best DFM practices are being utilized
- Oversee transition of design to CM’s and smooth production ramp
- Work with internal and external teams to ensure availability of all needed modules
- Enforce ISO flow for all processes and documentation
- Work with regulatory affairs team to ensure efficient approval process
- Work with marketing for product specification and user documentation
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Experience in bringing optical systems from initial design to market with volumes exceeding 1000 units per year
- Strong understanding of applied optical design and simulation using optical simulation tools and experience designing and verifying optical systems to specifications, both in simulations and in the laboratory
- System understanding of interaction mechanical, electrical, and optical components
- Experience defining and driving software development requirements
- Understanding of Dialysis Systems and online clearance monitoring
Education and Qualifications
- MS degree (or higher) in Engineering, Optics, or related engineering discipline is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience and examples of products brought to volume production is required, specific experience with Dialysis is preferred.
- Ability to work with a global program team
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
