The team at Imagr is growing and it's an exciting time to join us! Imagr is leading the charge in automated retail technology with our end-to-end, AI powered checkout solution. Our goal is to revolutionise modern retail and make life easier for everyday people - with no checkouts and no queues.

How does this role fit in?

Your role will deliver impact by driving the organisational composure and culture of our Osaka office! You’ll do this by keeping our Osaka office organised and running smoothly, working closely with both the Osaka team and HQ to champion the culture and alignment between the offices.

In this role, your day and responsibilities may look like any of the following:

Office and Finance Support:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for everything office related, and escalating as required
  • Supporting the finance function with billing and payments, expense management and other end of month requirements
  • Managing office supplies such as the weekly grocery shop, stationery, birthday cakes, etc.
  • Supporting Health and Safety requirements such as hazard checks, accident/incident reporting, etc.
  • Coordinating and organising shipments and deliveries
  • Facilities management, liaising with the building manager

People amp; Culture Experience:

  • Executing the employee onboarding processes for Japan, supporting people and culture initiatives
  • Overseeing and administering our birthday and employee anniversary programmes
  • Co-ordinating on-site interviews and managing the experience for candidates
  • Supporting the localisation of Imagr Recruitment and supporting growth of our employer brand and social media efforts in Japan
  • Acting as a translator between Auckland and Japan, as required - this may involve attending important stakeholder, retailer and investor meetings, translation of sensitive documentation, etc.

Plus stepping outside of your role when needed and contributing as part of the wider Imagr team to achieve organisational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing an office, ideally in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to prioritise a lot of moving parts - things can move fast around here
  • Impeccably fluent in Japanese with minimum business level English
  • Experience with Japanese accounting systems, or with assisting a finance team in an administrative capacity
  • Ability to work autonomously, and to process sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
  • Experience or interest in Japanese Social Media management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence communicating with a wide variety of audiences

Experience in a high-growth tech company would be beneficial, with a natural interest in innovation and new technology! Along with experience in Japanese HR/Recruitment processes would be preferred, yet not essential.
