  • Help customers focus on their goals and drive the implementation towards a successful, on-time implementation.
  • Forge strong partnerships with customers and colleagues.
  • Lead all aspects of implementation from mobilization to deployment.
  • Collaborate with Coupa services partners during the implementation.
  • Engage customers in enlightened business need discussions versus feature/function basics.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to customers during the implementation process.
  • Provide strong technical understanding of our product with the ability to discuss and demonstrate the full Coupa platform and how it may be configured to meet a customer’s business needs.
  • Create and/or improve implementation templates, training and presentations.
  • Provide best practice methodologies and delivery approaches for emerging Japanese customers and alliance partners
  • Follow Coupa implementation methodology for all customers and tailor to meet each customer’s unique business needs.
  • Share relevant prior experiences with customers and colleagues.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues where needed.
  • Work well in both individual and team settings both on and off client site.
  • Manage customers where up to 50% of your time may include travel.
  • Provide Coupa platform demonstrations and various trainings.
  • Work with RVP on annual budgets to plan for development and growth of team.
  • Work with RVP to establish customer success processes in Japan to proactively work with customers and partners to meet key customer success metrics for region.
  • Understand key supply chain performance levers (i.e. on-time delivery, cost, inventory management, feasibility, etc.) and seek solutions to improve these metrics
  • Maintain appropriate communication with stakeholders including regular status reporting
  • Identify and develop resources to grow the Japan region recruit, train, and develop team to ensure sustainable success.
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong leadership abilities with aprox 10 years of experience
  • Proven capability to effectively manage change and difficult clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to make recommendations to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of supply chain design
  • Network optimization, inventory optimization, vehicle routing analysis, operations planning, cost to serve analysis
  • Ability to frame and structure problems, identify critical information, and drive improvement
  • Principles of optimization and simulation and how they are performed using software packages
  • Database skills and supply chain modeling experience strongly desired
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management is preferred
  • Native Japanese and fluent English.
