WHAT YOU NEED TO ACHIEVE• Develop and execute public affairs strategies in order to build trust among key regulators and other decision makers• Build and develop governmental and non-governmental (industry associations, local partners, etc.) stakeholders’ networks and relationships to promote Revolut as a trusted institution in Japan• Establish and maintain Revolut’s legislative and government facing strategies, to align and advance Revolut’s agendas in Japan
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING• Build tight relationships with key decision makers like regulators, trade associations, and other relevant external stakeholders• Work with our Japanese leadership team and global public affairs team on developing internal and external strategies• Monitor political developments in payments and financial services in Japan and provide briefing packs to leadership team in Japan and Global• Write or edit submissions to governments and regulators• Own the interaction with decision-makers, on a state and national level
WHAT YOU'LL NEED• You already have existing, relevant relationships with key regulators including JFSA and other relevant ministries.• You pride yourself in being creative and know how to run effective advocacy campaigns to influence legislation.• You have an in-depth understanding of Japanese politics and legislative process• You are bilingual and have working experience under international environment at a government agency, lobbying/public affairs consultancy or government affairs positionYou’re incredibly hard working, hands-on and keep cool under pressure• You’re results-driven and understand the importance of reporting on performance• You’re a team player and incredibly passionate about our mission and goals
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITHYou will be working with the Japan team on initiatives of strategic importance to the Japan territory. There will be a matrix structure with dual reporting to the CEO, Japan directly and Global Head of Public Affairs functionally. You will have full autonomy and ownership of what you’ll do.
