About the role
The Project Solutions Engineer is a holistically designed role to enhance the strategic collaborations with Bollore Logistics' internal and external stakeholders.
What you will be doing
Based in our Tokyo, Japan office, your main responsibilities include:
Solutions Designing
- Designing and costing solutions in contract logistics (LLP) to support sales and development (omni-channel / eCommerce / Retail / Last mile delivery services)
- Understanding the needs of Bollore Logistics' customers through customers/prospects meetings, consultative communication, RFI/RFQ and challenging situations with appropriate solutions
- Designing solutions in domains such as Logistics warehousing and distribution and delivering comprehensive solutions involving operations, budgeting and information systems
Project Management
- End-to-end ownership of projects from definition to implementation
- Assemble project team with identified resources
Operations Monitoring amp; Performance Control
- Monitor operations and performance on LLP mode
- Support and enhance performance improvement by standard SOP analysis
- Support audit analysis to measure process improvement and define action plans
- Support implementation and best practices sharing through communications and trainings
Account Management
- Lead technical account management
Re-engineering amp; Optimization of Action Plan
- Manage customer re-engineering process to meet performance and/or finance KPIs
- Manage optimization analysis on customer operations to meet cost savings initiatives
Innovation
- Actively involved in the Bollore Innovation program with regional innovation lab
- Propose and structure innovation proposition
Lean, QHSE and CSR
- Be part of the QHSE and CSR program on solutions, projects and processes
- Lean focused - support the implementation of Lean in the region
Requirements
The successful applicant
- Knowledge in Contract Logistics / Warehousing / Distribution / Omni-channel Logistics / eCommerce / Last Mile Delivery Services
- Knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be a plus
- Native or high proficiency in Japanese language is a must as this role will be engaging with native Japanese speakers and customers
- Engineering background will be advantageous with more than 3 years' experience in the 3PL industry (Engineering / Solutions / Project Management)
- High proficiency in Excel, data analysis
- Confident customer facing individual
