Job Overview
Our international team is growing quickly as we intensify our localization efforts and international development. As a result, we need more manager-level team members to ensure successful operations and continuous improvement of our processes as we grow.
The successful candidate for this position should be passionate about video games, have superior communication skills, experience managing multicultural teams, and a demonstrable ability to deliver multiple projects on time, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate resources to effectively distribute and accomplish demands to meet release deadlines and quality goals
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output
- Build standards and workflows and monitor data and results with continuous improvement in mind
- Work closely with other managers, the department director, vice president, president, HR, and other designated contacts within the organization (Japanese/English)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Near native-level English, business-level Japanese
- Lead and build trust among a diverse, multicultural team of about 8 to 12 people (minimum 2 years)
- Demonstrable experience working with and leading people from different cultures, preferably in more than one country
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build a strong rapport with management and team members alike
- Deep knowledge of video games, with knowledge of video game terminology and language used in RPGs in particular
Good to have
- Experience with data analysis in a business environment, and ability to make use of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.
- Experience in management or leadership positions in the gaming industry, especially with localization as a main focus
- MBA degree or related Master's degree
- PMP certification or track record of successful project management
- Experience in international business development

SALARY RANGE: From 4M JPY to 10M JPY/year base pay, depending on skills and experience.
For senior candidates with specific management experience in the industry, salaries up to 15M JPY may be considered.
