The Role

We at PEI Group are looking for a Japanese speaking Investor Engagement Executive to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based here in Tokyo. We are looking for someone who can use best-practice sales methodology, effective use of PEI’s CRM system and working closely with sales, production, membership, marketing, data teams and by conducting independent research, engaging prospects over the phone amp; in person, whilst displaying an understanding of the market, the product benefit proposition, and the client’s needs.

This role is primarily desk based with the opportunity for face to face meetings and travel.

The role reports into the Sales Manager of EMEA amp; APAC through the Senior Audience Development Executive in Asia for core activities and will work closely with the Director of Events APAC on research and product development.

Establishing and deepening relationships with Japanese institutional investors, the ideal candidate will;

  • Increase number of institutional investors at new and established events in Australia, Asia, EMEA and US.
  • Grow investor numbers in PEI’s network subscriptions (memberships), annual renewal.
  • Support the Member Services Team in delivering membership events for investors and managers (confirming investors in the network to in person events and virtual meetings.
  • Support the Production Team to confirm high-level investors as speakers on conference programmes.
  • Outside of the above core activities, engage with the investor community to develop the conference and networking product suite, develop new ideas for events or network subscriptions, understand the opportunities to create and add value to subscribers through proactive research, meetings and conversations with key investors.

Key responsibilities and expectations

  • Primarily a telephone based role making 50 calls a day
  • Completing Demos via screen share of the Investor Network platform
  • Help investors complete profiles and understand their needs to drive networking and knowledge-gathering opportunities
  • Gather feedback on the value of the membership and on how we can improve our network experience
  • Delivering against daily/weekly/monthly targets relating to call volumes, duration, and sales targets
  • Delivering against KPI metrics of number of demonstrations held of the subscription platform
  • Assimilating key selling points during event briefing sessions and being able to deliver succinctly and compellingly these in verbal and written communication to relevant prospects
  • Working closely with our internal production function to provide detailed and thorough feedback about prospects, pipelines, and progress on each event
  • You will be responsible for following amp; executing the sales strategy across multiple products.
  • Maintaining up to date in CRM records is essential, to ensure that all daily activity, contact with prospective customer and pipeline is fully recorded
  • Keeping colleagues fully informed of your activities through formal a reporting procedure with your Sales Leader based in London.
  • Adhering to best practice sales methodology and an openness to training amp; development is essential
