Job Description
As a Game Planner, you translate, localize and plan for project-related tasks of in-house video games on our G123 platform. As we take more of our portfolio into new markets, you will be a key player in the rapidly growing global game operations team.
Our international team is growing quickly as we intensify our localization efforts and international development. As a result, we also need more manager-level team members to ensure successful operations and continuous improvement of our processes as we grow.
The successful candidate for this position should be passionate about video games, have superior communication skills, experience managing multicultural teams, and a demonstrable ability to deliver multiple projects on time, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.
The role
- Translation and localization (Japanese gt; English) of Browser Games
- Work closely with other managers, the department director, vice president, president, HR, and other designated contacts within the organization (Japanese/English)
- Plan and allocate resources to effectively distribute and accomplish demands to meet release deadlines and quality goals
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
- Build standards and workflows and monitor data and results with continuous improvement in mind.
Requirements
- English : Native Proficiency
- Japanese : Professional Proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent)
- Lead and build trust among a diverse, multicultural team of about 8 to 12 people (minimum 3 years)
- Passionate gamer with knowledge of video game terminology and language (RPGs)
- Knowledge of Japanese otaku culture
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment where growth and change are constant
- Flexibility, ability to deal with uncertainty and prioritize tasks
Good to have:
- Fluency in other languages (being able to speak Korean or Mandarin is a plus)
- A strong understanding of gaming industry in U.S. or Korea or Taiwan

Salary: 6M ~ 12M JPY/year base pay (depending on skills and experience), bonus once a year based on company and individual performance
